More than likely you need a driver that supports the card reader in your system. Unfortunately since Dell does not support the 5040 in Windows 11 (A MS established problem and not Dell) then you will have to either rely on Windows update to install the required driver or search the Internet for the driver, possibly a chipset driver, based on the reader manufacturer.
